At Your Consultation
Before we schedule your surgery, we will have you come into the clinic near Moorooka for a visual exam and an OPG X-ray.
This exam will allow us to decide if surgery is needed by looking at the location of your wisdom teeth, determining if they are infected and if there is enough space in your mouth for the teeth to erupt.
Wisdom teeth located close to or curved around a nerve may require a specialised surgery. We will discuss this at your consultation.
Surgery and Post Day
Our number one priority is keeping you safe and comfortable during the procedure. We offer a few sedation options, including local anaesthetic, IV sedation, general anaesthetic and nitrous oxide.
In most cases, your surgery will occur at our clinic near Moorooka. In particular circumstances where you need a general anaesthetic, we can perform the surgery at a local hospital in the Moorooka area.
You will feel slight discomfort and swelling during recovery. We recommend you rest for 24 hours following the extraction. You will most likely get back to your regular routine within 3-4 days.
